These distinctive creatures are some of the oceans gentle giants and Nusa Penida is one of the best places in the world to see them in their natural environment.
Manta rays are present at Nusa Penida all year round so there is a very high chance that you will see one here whatever time you decide to visit. In fact as mantas tend to congregate together it is possible that you will as many as four or five on one dive at Manta point.
We operate boat trips to manta point for all of our tour guests on the three and five day Nusa Penida experience. Unfortunately due to limited time constraints, it is not possible to swim the manta as a part of a one day tour.
As the manta experience at Manta Point Nusa Penida has become increasingly popular recently, with many boats now bringing tourists to swim with the manta, the waters can often be crowded at sites close to Bali and Lembongan where large numbers of them depart from.
Adventure Penida is the only tour that will bring you to the manta locations on the more pristine east coast of the island at the original manta point destination.
This area offers a more intimate encounter with the manta, and as this site is home to some of the most spectacular coastal cliffs anywhere on Nusa Penida it really can feel like your encountering nature in its purest setting.
Along with the mantas you will also encounter numerous other marine creatures at manta point including abundant fish schools of all types, and hard and soft corals and turtles, which can very often be found swimming in the waters around manta point also.
